CPTP144: [Case Study] Pop Piano Teaching in Action with Anna Fagan

pop piano teaching

pop piano teaching

Pop piano teaching doesn’t have to be something you do just for fun, or just because your student begs you. It can actually have real value for your students in so many ways.

The approach I advocate for teaching pop music might feel a bit foreign: focusing on chords, simplifying music and teaching rhythm by ear, but it doesn’t have to be scary. Even if you’ve never played a pop piece or you don’t have a clue what’s on the radio right now, you can still teach this way.

Anna Fagan

Anna Fagan is an Inner Circle member who has had great success with one of my resources, the Top 10 Pop Songs download. She’s on the podcast today to share how she brings pop piano teaching into her studio and the benefits for her students.
