What was your life like before TopMusicPro?

My name is Mary Chalaby, and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I run a piano studio called Koala Keys Music School.

I had been following TopMusicPro for a number of years before I started my studio. I was familiar with things like the Inner Circle, the blog, and Tim’s YouTube videos.

I already knew there was a great resource out there to explore. When I started my business, I thought it was a good time to invest in having a support group to help me with both the business and teaching side of things.

What changed for you after working with TopMusicPro?

Learning the ins and outs of being a business manager was important for me. Having a support group where it was easy to discuss things with people across the globe was also really cool.

About nine weeks after I started my business, we all went online. That was the biggest change for me in 2020 and I could not have imagined that happening.

It was really great that my business succeeded in the year of 2020 because it was a pretty epic year to be attempting to run a business. I got to 30 students pretty quickly.

Along with these challenges, I was also transitioning from being a teacher working in other schools to a teacher running my own school.

That means that when concert time comes around, I am running the whole thing. I have experience as an event manager, but it was great to have some extra support.

While I was transitioning into the new world of business ownership, at the same time as moving to online teaching, the support from TopMusicPro was indispensable.

What are your favourite resources from TopMusicPro?

In my teaching I get a lot of use from the TopMusicSheets. I literally use them every week!

I have so much fun downloading the new music booklet every month. It is graded with different levels, which makes it so cool because everybody in the studio can find something to play.

Having access to this resource helps you to find new music and composers. Having a resource where I know I can always get professional development is really great.

Is TopMusicPro worth the investment?

TopMusicPro is absolutely worth the investment. Every teacher will find something that suits them, and with the new tiered subscriptions, you can choose what is most relevant to you. There is something for every teacher.

I will be considering an upgrade on my membership when I want to grow my projects further. It’s worth every dollar invested.

Would you recommend TopMusicPro?

TopMusicPro is absolutely something I would recommend. If you are on the hesitant side, sitting on the fence, you could always start with the Lite subscription and delve into it a little bit at a time.

Just dip your toes in and see what it is like. I have a feeling you will start swimming in no time!
