Course Overview

In this course, George Litterst and Shana Kirk from TimeWarp Technologies show us all the ins and outs of using the software Internet MIDI in our music lessons.

What is Internet MIDI?

Internet MIDI is the premiere solution for long distance teaching and performing, enabling you to connect any 2 MIDI instruments together over the Internet. Internet MIDI is an application for Mac and PC that:
  • works with MIDI instruments from all manufacturers
  • transmits and receives up to 16 channels of MIDI data
  • provides an on-screen keyboard with animated keys, pedals, and velocity meters
  • offers recording/playback features
  • includes A/V controls
  • works interactively with Classroom Maestro
Imagine playing a piano concert in two places at once or teaching a student who is across town or across the globe. When you play notes on your MIDI piano, those same notes are simultaneously played on the remote keyboard as though you were in two places at once!
