Traditionally, most students are taught the blues in the context of using full open string chords. Unfortunately, this means they often have to wait anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months before they can start learning the blues. Even then, when they finally begin learning, it often sounds disjointed because most beginner students can’t transition between full open chords fluently for a couple of months.
